Here’s the thing that makes life so intersesting:

The theory of evolution claims that only the strongest shall survive. Maybe so, maybe so. But the theory of competition states that just because they’re the strong doesn’t mean they can’t get their asses kicked. That’s right.

See, with every longshot, come from behind underdog will tell you is this: The other guy may in fact be the favourite, the odds may be stacked against you… fair enough. But what the odds don’t know is that this isn’t a maths test. This is a completely different kind of test. One where passion has a funny way of showing logic.

So, before you step up to the starting line, before the whistle blows and the clocks start ticking - just remember, out here? The results don’t always add up. No matter what the stats may say. What the experts may say and the commentators have predicted. When the race is on… ALL BETS ARE OFF!

Don’t be surprised if someone decides to flip the script and take a pass on yelling uncle. Then suddenly, as the old saying goes, we got ourselves a game!

Now then. I posted this on to the official Chloe Moretz forums a while back. From the 2nd of April actually. So some of the things on the post won’t make sense, so I’m putting it in quotations.

“Now, before I start, a few of you might wonder what the hell am I on about.

Basically, when I was led in bed last night checking my Twitter, I saw this photo that Chloe had posted to her twitter. When I saw it, I don’t know why but I just forgot completely that she was a celebrity. All I thought was that she is just a regular teenager enjoying time with her friends. So I’ll put the picture up before I talk about it anymore.

You could call it an epiphany - in a manner of speaking. I sort of realized that celebrities also have other celebrities that they obsess over, very much like ‘we’ do. Celebrities want to go out and watch movies, go bowling or go for a coffee. Basically, celebrities are no different, they go through problems too.

I don’t know what the point is I am trying to achieve here, but I am trying to say that the picture has changed the way I view celebrities and other factors in the world. It is for some reason the most powerful picture I have ever seen and it’s not even meant to be powerful, it’s merely a simple photo.

Then it reminded me about teen crushes, just like when I had my first high school crushes. I remember the days, usually cold winters days, where you’d just be out with that girl talking about anything and everything. There is something about this photo that brings all of my younger high school years back into one memory. It’s quite upsetting in one sense, but on the other hand it’s beautiful. The strongest juxtaposition possibly.

So the time has come. It’s time to put forward votes for the Manchester United player of the year. This year it’s a really difficult one!

- Antonio Valencia.

Valencia has been a crucial player to our 2011/12 campaign and rest assured without him, we wouldn’t be first place. When returning from injury last season it was clear how much of an impact he is on our squad. We’re just fortunate to of had him virtually all season with not much injury.

- David De Gea

A few months into the season and many people were calling him the “Transfer flop of the season” but ever since that 3-3 draw with Chelsea he’s been in a different league. Now, with every kick off I can relax knowing that he is in the net. Give him 2 more seasons and he’ll be touted as the best goalkeeper in the world.

- Jonny Evans

After Vidic picked up the season ruining injury in the Champions League, there was a few worries with who would replace him for the season. Knowing that Jonny Evans was probably the next suitable replacement was a bit worrying. Combine time with a partnership and you get probably one of the most consistent centre backs of the Premier League.

- Michael Carrick

Last but not least. Carrick has been pivotal in this seasons title race. According to Opta’s stats, he has been one of the best holding midfielders in the world this season. Not bad to say he has so many haters. In my opinion, he is probably the most unsung premier league player.

But it’s time to choose and it’s safe to say that Carrick gets my vote. A controversial vote, but a vote nonetheless. What do you guys think?
